DayZ Base Building 1.3 Discussion

Hello All,

I am haveing all kinds of trouble getting this script to work in Epoch 1.0.4.2 does anyone have a working set of files they could post for this? or failing that does anyone know how this is done for 1.0.4.2? I would really like to get it working on my NAPF server. I know it can be done as there are a few servers already running this on there 1.0.4.2 epoch servers.

Yes I got the message which forced me to test it, and no my gates do not work either. I have no solution at this point. I still need to figure out my menu problem once that is tackled I will look in to gates. My time is quite limited however, so if you figure it out first please share! :)

What's the problem with your menus? Is it that they don't show up correctly? If so you may just need to change your interface to "Small" or another size. I had this problem with my current resolution it didn't show parts of the menu. I changed the interface size and restarted the game a voila.

No no, I can see them just fine. There is a conflict with BB and the removal script for things like mining nodes and garbage piles. When my players loot them the menu item for gathering the loot stays in the menu, if you click on it again it just adds another to the scroll menu until you log out and log back in. It has to be a missing remove action call I am just unable to find it.

How do i put down a flag? I cannot find it in the build recipies menu. All other items are showing good but there are 2 blank pages with "any" as a tittle.

Any body else have this problem?
I am using it on Overwatch 0.2.5
 
There are many many conflicts with the current version of Epoch and this, resulting in many strange behaviors and bugs that break core features of Epoch, resulting in undesirable game play. Or, to put it another way, it's currently useless with the latest Epoch.

works fine for me in epoch along with all the other core features and 20 other scripts mods and more...just takes a lot of work.
 
"got it to work" would be the key part , theres no way what im running will work for you and no way i could remember all the tweaks and bugs and stuff i had to track down and i changed a lot to custom like the build recipes.

Ahhh. Well thanks anyway. I guess the best thing to do is buckle down and work it out.
 
my own server is using infiSTAR.de antihack and EPOCH 1.0.4.2
i follow all the steps in the tutorial and change some codes in this post i have seen
i can get into the game and i tried to build base flag
after 30S i was kicked by BattlEye: PublicVariable Value Restriction #256
and i get back to game , trying to build a wall and it said "you cannot build in other players land"
that means this flag don't belong to me
after restarted the server, the flag gone

i have tried to update the Battleye but it still same
i dun know if my BE Filter have some problem

I dont see anything the github says to add in the BE filters , are you sure you installed this as per the instructions up to date and for your version ?

Change this to a 1. Not the best solution but can't get a working filter at this point.

i personnaly dont rely on BE and just turn all the relevant 5's to 1's for things i want if i cant add them to filters the way your supposed to , then admin my server myself with tools and vigilance. most hackers banned already via BE or dont have valid GUID so it keeps them out, so its rare someone who can hack into the ones youve allowed will get on and do such a thing anyways.

Pre-Instructions:
First you have to make sure that your Arma2OA server runs the latest stable beta that you can get on DayZCommander as well, which is 1.62.103718.
Some Gameserver provider have that not installed by default.
For example Vilayer pre installs an older Arma2OA beta, that results in many problems.
So you have to log in your UCP and click this:

After you have done that you just select the 103718 beta and click your way through until it is installed :)!

please check your mpmission init.sqf file if it has this line:

if it has this line, it has to be removed! (causing trouble)

Do not forget to replace your current BE filters with the one you got with the AntiHack.

Main-Instructions:

02. get the "dayz_server.pbo" file from your Server.
03. extract the file. // (right click -> PBO MANAGER -> Extract to dayz_server\)
04. open dayz_server -> init -> "server_functions.sqf" with notepad or something semilar.
05. go to the very TOP of the "server_functions.sqf" file
06. copy paste:

07. Now you extract the AntiHack Script, you purchased, in dayz_server -> init -> here. (same location like "server_functions.sqf")
08. "AHconfig.sqf" and "AH.sqf" have to be in the same folder then "server_functions.sqf"
09. Now use 'Pbo Manager' to make it a pbo file again and upload it to your Server. // rightclick dayz_server folder -> pbo manager -> pack into "dayz_server.pbo"
10. CHECK IF YOUR MISSIONFILE HAS THIS LINE IN THE INIT.SQF:

IF YES -> HAS TO BE REMOVED! (causing lagg and is justa very bad thing to have)

im pretty sure you didnt understand my post as it is a fix to the BE issues your having (in your public variable at least) none of which has anything to do with Infini at this point. the github as the link i provided is for what this thread is about base building 1.3 and the instructions on it say to install the BE filters they have and you clearly have not done that as i outlined in my post.

Does this not work on live servers? I've removed what it says from the description.sqf and a arma 2 errors gets thrown about the same exact thing and it closed my game. If I remove it from both dayz_codes on my server and in my arma 2 directory I just get kicked from my server back into the arma 2 start menu.

As I understand, to fix the infiSTAR Antihack issue (normal players can´t place flags, "You are already building."), you have to add actions to the "ALLOWED Actions"-Array in the AHconfig.sqf.

Is this actually working? Can someone confirm,please? Has someone a list of those actions?

All ll see in this thread regarding this issue is "PM me and I´ll tell you". Why not elaborate to the public, so this issue can be solved?

as i recall that is something in the .hpp files that conflicts with the already defined RscText i know this is fixed somewhere in sheeps repack which uses the build mod also (successfully). i do not know how.
