M1lkm8n has finished a TON of buildings from Takistan, I just have to retexture some of them for use in Sahrani, or A2...

Gotta polish up some parts, but they're pretty much done... not sure if they're even on Sahrani? Don't think so.
 
When I am back from my trip to NZ (in like 8 months...) I definitly gonna set up a nice Sahrani Server. With a few of my own additions ofc :D. But it will be vanilla and I won't care if no one joins it, at least it will be there so if anyone wants to play an almost vanilla Sahrani server they will have the chance.

Nonov you are doing an awesome job and you deserve almost the most respect on this forum here. I am very happy that you still don't let the Sahrani Mod die even though most of the playerbase has switched to epoch.

I've started work on getting all the A3 bugs ironed out of the terrain, then I'm going to finish up work on giving all the objects physx lods, and then either back to work on buildings, or I might start doing the terrain changes I always wanted to.

I might message James from Vert and see if I can get access to a server again and setup a server for anyone who wants to check it out vanilla... the problem is I just don't have the time/energy/drive to support it at all, and I stink at setting them up.

It would be nice to see a vanilla server up though, I'm so played out on SA and I only have 200ish hours, I just find it really unenjoyable to play.

We'll see how the A3 stuff comes along, once the terrain is in there, I might see if I can get someone to help build an MP architecture for that, but I dunno.

My wishy washy feelings about A2 vs A3 have really killed the motivation to work on anything really... I still REALLY love A2/DayZ mod... and haven't found anything fun to play in A3, and DayZ SA is just horrible to play, and there's nothing to do...

Anyway, hopefully getting Sahrani fully sorted for A3 goes well, and I can try to find some direction to move forward.

I know just what you are talking about. Played the Standalone for 8h and never touched it since. It just don't really feel like DayZ for me. I just can't put my finger on what me really bugs about the Standalone.
Anyway I also don't know what I shall think about arma 3. When I played it first it didn't seem to amaze me the same way arma 2 did, especially when I watched a few Altis life and KotH gameplays. It just didn't feel right. Probably because of all the fancy shmancy weapons and vehicles. I just don't know why they moved so much forward. I would be way more happy if they would have implemented more from the usual today weaponry like G36 or the m4 variants. I don't like this futuristic crap. And the terrain is even compared to chernarus complete crap (I don't like chernarus to much anymore.... Guess because I played it over 400h :D). Imho it can't be compared to sahrani simply because sahrani is completely out of its league.
When I am back I can try to help you whatever you want to do. If you want to port day7 to arma 3 I would be glad to help you. I'm pretty sure I have improved a hell lot since I last worked with you :p. I just guess if the day7 mod is not switched to arma 3 in the future it will simply die. And that's something I can't let happen. I had to many awesome moments on this map to let it die.
 
It's basically DONE! Gotta tweak the surface friction config settings, and remove the ability to refuel from the gas stations:

Hi, great job , the map is just beautiful ! We notice that the vehicles driving in the grass have a big slow down, would it be possible to fix this in the next update ? Thx :)

That's something that's adjusted in the vehicle configs. What mod were you playing?

Day7 Sahrani has realistic slowdown configured on all the vehicles, I went through all of them, and made the trucks slower top speed on road, and almost no effect off road, and cars fast on road, but slowed down a bit off road, much less than default though.

I'm not sure what other mods have their configs set at, but it's not something I can change on the terrain in A2, In A3 it is though.

This happens with basic vehicle of Arma , I tested with an SUV and I block 15mph on the grass . It also happens with certain mod vehicle stuck on the grass. thx for help
 
Yeah, that's just how vehicles are in Arma, you have to find a mod that changes their configs. I looked for the one I used to use, but it was taken down by it's author.
