Issue: Hey i installed everything like you said ... but i got a kick with the message: "kicked by BattlEye: PublicVariable Restriction #1" Whats wrong? :(

0.15 test or 0.14 ??
 
OK massive bug with take clothes :( working on it now

2 things to fix so far

duplicate scroll menus
take clothes

overpoch version is ready to go as soon as bugs are sorted :)
 
ok think ive fixed the 2 bugs also added overpoch stuff for testing :)
try the new experimental builds from GIT

if the testers could check these 2 builds out and report any bugs i can start with the other maps and single currency/multi char versions :)

47 is acceptable.. But why not get as much as u can..i ony use wai static for gunners m2 or other big weapons cause it take certain amount of time for dzai to spawn in.. As far as static areas.. Still use for missions..Wai are always there and ready. But sux up ur fps.. Why when u only need when players enter the area.. Of course u will see big drop in fps if u have 40 plus all spawning in .. But it goes back up as soon as they all spawn in ..and im only talking about ai cities , sector fng etc .. Not the whole map.. I also use combo of both for heli patrols.. And vehicle partrols.. In those areas. If u want come join my server and i will give u the tour..and show u way i have set it up..just let me know when and meet u on server.
As far as sector fng.. I dont have it on my server, but im sure there is a static spawn... For it.. Would have to look at the files


I would love to check out your server! I was under the impression that server FPS caps at 50 but that didnt make a lot of sense. I am very happy with the performance of my server so far, but do agree that I would like to really get as much as possible.

I would like to design combat locations with heli patrols and vehicle patrols that only spawn when players come into the area but I am hoping to set the spawn radius rather large so that its not obvious that a player is there or not. AI spawned into a location is a dead give away to other players if someone is already there.

Either way I will be updating to 0.15 if it recommended.
 
Just set dzai to spawn anywhere.. random, they spawn on the player any way .. what Im talking about is closed in areas, dzai and wai already will spawn heli random or spawn as far away as you want and come in on player, just look at the many guides on both of these as well as YouTube how to vids.
Of course you can do static spawns anywhere .. dzai static dont just stand there they are smarter than the wai.. but both have there pos and negatives points.. dzai creator also has dzms similar to WAI mission system, try both see which u like best.

The server its self FPS 50 Yes, but player FPS is different .. client side, but varies greatly on your system, memory, cpu and video card.. in general it makes the game smoother and less jerky ..but of course there is a limit to that as well.
Try a vanilla server.. no extras.. just basic epoch, or dayz ..then try one loaded out .. makes a difference.. but few want to play hardcore stock dayz without some mods.. with dzai you cant tell if they are there because of u or others around, you can even make them target zed.. so you have some warning they are near.. unless your in an area with little to no zombies

But to discuss further please start a new tread.. in the appropriate area we are getting off topic here

I know you are used to speaking with people who have absolutely no idea what they are doing, but I do understand the basic of client vs. server side.

you answered my question completely with the 50fps serverside answer. If it is running consistently at 47FPS I feel I am now ready to start adding custom missions with my chosen AI Mod or a mix there of. Anyway thanks again.

LOL . Hey I we all gotta start somewhere, I built my first DayZ Server in June.. since then I have built and rebuilt several variations,.. mod / add breaks it .. or some other issue dont want to deal with .. start over .. I never learn anything the easy way .. but at least now when I / or a script hoses the server.. I can back my way out 99.9 percent of the time, and or resolve what got hosed.. Im no expert .. by any means.. but I do work Desktop and Sever support at a large company .. so holding hands is something I do every day LOL

0.15 is highly recommended as once its out support for 0.14 sort of stops (i dont like supporting old outdated versions as the code base has changed a lot)

0.15 is optimized a lot better than 0.14 and runs much smoother and faster with a higher average FPS (both server side and client side)

just gotta test custom buildings, im adding them in (by request :) )but they will be off by default, also need to check DZAI static spawns but other than that everything thing seem good :) so public release should be this weekend :p

also DZAI will have an epermental BOAT PATROLS patch added to it

I tried to use the new 0.15 overpoch build but it just came up with wait for host i am not sure what i have done wrong read the readme and done everything it has said to do

ok overpoch has the latest updates and as geekin said be careful adding things to the repack as it is not a standard server install it has been customized a lot and some scripts have been merged and redirected

it has the custom buildings as well
