Try sending those commands via rcon. It seems like you're restricting in-game commands then. Also if you update to the latest version I "think" there is an option on the GUI to do this.
Also you're not using a dodgy CD Key are you? :S
OK, make sure you reload BEC.
Also make sure you're on the latest version :)
*edit* I'm not 100% sure if BEC checkes names vs. guids in the XML. Could be that.

See whoever is trying this command needs to be added.
NOTE: this is nothing to do with the whitelister.
~This is user error.
Go to \BEC\Config and add yourself (your GUID) in the admins.xml.
Problem Solved.
*Edit* Don't forget to restart BEC, as it only reads configs/xml files on startup.
Don't forget that you actually need to look up on how to setup a mySQL.. Also note that default setups of mySQL don't allow external connections, you will need to 'allow' this when editing users on the 'whitelist' database with something like mySQL Workbench. Make sure you have a user account...
You need .Net 4.5 installed. Dean is using 4.5 dependencies.

Your reply is flawed. The problem itself does indeed have some instructions on.
Forgive me If I'm wrong but that is instructing the user that their is a duplicate entry on the database.
Instruction, of which is a Noun, equates to "a direction or order."
So when people blatantly cannot...
READ what its telling you "duplicate entry" find the duplicate and remove it then save...

Don't forget that you actually need to look up on how to setup a mySQL DB it has nothing to do with what server pack you're running. Also note that default setups of mySQL don't allow external connections, you will need to 'allow' this when editing users on the 'whitelist' database with...
Ah... it seems you've compiled it using .Net4.5 dependencies...
Maybe add Prerequisites to main page '.Net4.5'
Also your href on the source link is wrong.
Another Error after launch.

If you do create a service application - you'll also need some sort of console control e.g. rcon.
P.S. I love the look of your whitelist page, could you send me some info via pm on it please :D
