Normally you don't have to downgrade, since beta patches should be downwards compatible. ( of course if a server enforces a certain patch, you might have difficulties)

Played it yesterday. And , big surprise, everyone seemed to be friendly again. For the time being ;)
It was fun. haven't found any food yet though, and really looking for some matches. The skins were also very cool. Gonna play...
