Likely due to highping or bad connection. Server saves character data constantly and right now the only autokick features are for high ping, and or issue with battleeye master server not responding. Both of these could cause your desynch with data.

mysql workbench is indeed a bit more powerful as it has a lot of functionality that is locked in navicate lite, unlocked. However it can be confusing for beginers.
Hit control alt delete and look for mysql.exe or mysql*32.exe to see if you are running mysql. You need to have your instance of mysql running before you try to start the oaserver.eve or the .bat file you use.
There are a lot of difference, very different table structures and very different database layouts. They both are very good package, if you are new to hosting a server use Pwnoz0r's IMO. Bliss will give you more options but you must have the basics of running and trouble shooting a dayz server...
Personally I have been using both PWnoz0r's files and bliss to run different maps and I find Pwnoz0r's files much more stable and a more reliable package, it just works for 99.9% of people.

Major Pain is correct. The official server files have not been released yet because there is still a lot of balancing to do on the dayz code part. They built most of this from scratch and did a very good job. It is really sad that he has quit the project. This is a big loss to the community.
