DZAI not starting

First off, I'm definitely new to ArmA/DayZ server hosting, so forgive my ignorance.

I've followed the instructions a per the github page and DZAI hasn't started. I'm running this server package https://github.com/vbawol/DayZ-Epoch/tree/master/Server Files on napf.

I added the DZAI folder to the dayz_server pbo and added the line of code to server_monitor.sqf and repacked all of it with cpbo.

There's nothing in regards to DZAI showing in the log files nor the server monitor.

Any ideas?
 
If you don't at least see an error message about dzai_initserver.sqf not being found in your RPT log then it means something went wrong when you replaced your edited server_monitor.sqf. Also make sure at least one player has entered the game before checking your RPT log, otherwise DZAI will not have had the chance to load.

So here are all the ways an install could go wrong:

  1. No message at all about DZAI in RPT log: server_monitor.sqf edit wasn't added to dayz_server somehow. To check if it was properly added, try unpacking your dayz_server.pbo and see if the edit was made.
  2. Message about dzai_initserver.sqf not found: problem with placement of DZAI folder into dayz_server.pbo

I've unpacked the pbo and all the edits were in place, including the DZAI folder in the root of the pbo.
 
From your RPT log it doesn't seem you've logged onto the server yet, which you need to do to allow DZAI to start. After logging onto a character, check your log again.

I must not have been looking hard enough for the AI, because they're definitely there. Working alongside DZMS as well without any issues.

I am having this same Issue, I am running a Private Server AT home to play Dayz Epoch with some friends. I have installed everything and modified all the files just like above but in the RPT server log I don't see anything about DZAI my buddy and I were killing each other flying around the map never saw anything other than each other. I have tried searching for others that had this same problem but so far you are the only one I have found.

I had no problem getting the SARGE AI to run. I figured I would try DZAI along with EMS since there are only 3 of us that play on the server. If you could help. Thanks
 
Follow my visual install guide in the support forum exactly. The guide shows how I installed DZAI and it worked out just fine. If nothing shows up in the rpt it means you missed or messed up a step somewhere during installation.

Well Buttface thank you for your response. I went to your Visual Install guide and followed it at least 10 times.

I even went so far to have my buddy read it and tell me exactly what to do step by step.

This is what I added to the server_monitor.sqf

Then I followed the repack and then restarted the server

But still do not have anything in my RPT about DZAI.

I know it probably something stupid I might be doing or not doing but with 2 other friends walking me through the setup just to make sure I don't screw it up. I am not the brightest tool in the shed but... I will keep trying until I get it and realize what dumb mistake i am making.
 
Everything should work right i would just recommend that your putting the DZAI folder in the main root of the Server pbo and then make sure the spelling is right even though you prob different touch it and also it might be hard to tell if its working or not ... how do you know its not working?

As you can see here Thank you also Buttface for your support and your guides. I don't know what I did differently but it seems to be working now. Although have not seen any AI right at this moment. Will wonder around.
 
No problem i dont think i helped that much but i tried hah... Remember you can edit the AI in the DAZI/init/dzai_config to adjust spawns and other things
 
I have been using DZAI for months now on Tavi and Cherno without an issue, however i have now moved to Napf, installed the smae way as normal but the AI are a no show any ideas ?
 
No immediate solutions come to mind at the moment. I use Epoch Napf as my main test environment and I've been having no troubles. Try going over your installation steps if possible.

do i have to use unleashed or can it be with standard Epoch dayz ?

i see from supported maps Napf was listed as not supported
 
The supported map list may be out of date. Napf is supported no matter the mod.

I am having a similar problem. i a m also new to server hosting. i found stuff in my RPT log but when i looked for the AI at cities, airfields, military bases and castles not a one was to be found. i am running Napf. Here is my server_monitor.sqf and my RPT log

The static spawn configs are fully loaded at 20:23:57 of the log file. 5 minutes of exploring before logging out is not likely enough to encounter any AI.

what errors in my server_montior.sqf. also zombies arent spawing.
