This might be obvious, but did you check out the error with one of your custom files?

Yep, I don't know why they are there but all custom buildings are on the map do don't think this is a huge problem.
 
@Roc: Your situation is extremely strange, I don't know whether it's the Linux server's fault or something you did.

1. First I would clear away all unused and unpacked versions of your dayz_server.pbo and make absolute certain that your server_monitor.sqf edits are actually being applied. The server_monitor.sqf edit is where DZAI is called from, if something goes wrong here DZAI will never be started.

2. The fact that there is no error message saying that dzai_initserver.sqf can't be found means that the call compile... line isn't being run at all for some reason. The dzai_initserver.sqf has a bunch of mandatory RPT log output text when run.

3. As for actual suggestions, your guess is as good as mine because my knowledge only involves DZAI itself and not why the initserver script isn't being run (this is something that should have a 0% chance of error if done correctly as far as I know). I've had a 100% success rate installing DZAI so I don't have any personal experience to draw from. Here are some starter suggestions:
Keep in mind that these suggestions are blind guesses. Possibly someone else that has experienced and fixed this problem could be better help. Almost everyone else that has had this problem later figured out that they were installing DZAI into the wrong dayz_server.pbo or that they forgot to pack in their edited files (or packed it into the wrong place), so I'm unaware of any non-user related causes of this problem.
 
Just did a clean install got server up and running on Server 2008 box
arma2 and OA with Epoch
Cannot seem to get DZAI working followed the install directions perfectly checked the files twice.
My rpt file list this error

The file is there I have checked
Yes the dayz_server.pbo has all been put back in the pbo format
using pbocommander
extracted it all made changes then recompressed

please help

@ronsrace Your error indicates that you have the call for DZAI in server_monitor.sqf placed properly, but the problem is where you placed the DZAI folder. Do this to check your folder placement:

1. Extract your dayz_server.pbo using PBO Manager by right-click > PBO Manager > Extract to dayz_server\
2. Open the dayz_server folder appears
3. You should see the following folders: compile, DZAI, init, missions, modules, system. You will also have the files: $PREFIX$ (or something similar), and config.bin
4. Open the DZAI folder
5. You should have inside the following folders: compile, init, scripts, SHK_pos, spawn_functions. You may also have the file DZAI_settings_override.sqf

If the files and folders are exactly where I said they are, it's possible that you placed the DZAI folder into the wrong dayz_server.pbo because this is error can't happen if the DZAI folder is placed in the right location. If they're different, reinstall the DZAI folder to the corrected location. Don't repack the extracted folder - you should reinstall using the PBO Manager GUI.

You can delete the extracted dayz_folder (not the pbo) afterwards.
