In the actual application, not the web interface, make sure Daytime Only is not checked, and that the slider is set to your servers local time zone. It will read the time from your server's clock. So if your server is located in Toronto, you'll want to make sure it's set to UTC-4, if it's in Vancouver, you'll want to make sure it's set to UTC-7. Be sure to take into account daylight savings.
I think you may want to look into wiping everything and trying again then. I was messing around with my server last night and had no issues forcing it from night to day, and back.
