So far, I don't believe there to be a way to connect your server to a MySQL - or any other sort of database. I've seen local saving done via JSON, but that's about it.
Don't think there is support for this yet in the current version. The new Enfusion engine is different from SQF and has a totally new language / API called Enforce Script. I've been playing around a lot with the language and anything script related will most likely have to be rewritten.

This post is assuming that you already have multiple instances downloaded from Steam.
This is pretty simple and straightforward. Using the Arma 3 server config as reference add the following to your server's config (named serverDZ.cfg as default):
steamQueryPort = 2303; // Steam Query Port...
If you extract the whole repository to the root of your DayZ server folder it should work without an issue. If you are running into an issue, send over some screenshots and logs and I will take a look.
