Alright I got it. I already tried putting the gun in but just like in that thread they say if you put a removed gun in, no loot will spawn. So what do I do now?

I have custom non spawning weapons that work in the military loot tables. Try it out on your server, or use it as a reference.

Weapons must be underneath the current weapon section, such as ["revolver_EP1","weapon"], from "residential" you would need to put custom weapons under this line. I tried putting the new weapons under ["MR43","weapon"], and loot stops spawning. Same goes for all other building types.

I tried most of the weapons from this list: http://www.tunngle.net/community/topic/83421-dayz-big-vehicleweaponmisc-classname-list/ I didn't add BAF weapons to my loot tables though. All other types work, a player must have @rmod installed to use the XM8 types though, but they still spawn.

Thank you but I'm still having trouble. Does the thermal l85a2 spawn? I'm not finding it even with 100% chance. And where is the "special military" loot table refer to?

Never mind! I got it to spawn but now the problem is whenever I try picking it up it just vanishes. Is it unusable completely or is there something else I need to do?

Idk. I personally haven't had any problems picking it up.

Do you use rmod?

And do you remember if there is anything else I need to do in the battleye scripts or server files or anything like that?

I don't use rmod.

but you can still pick up the l85a2 aws? i can pick up others just not this gun. are you sure there isn't something else i need to do?

Try downloading Rmod for client side, then just putting ;@rMod in your additional launch parameters for DayZ Commander, if you use that. You don't need Rmod on your server, but you'll still be able to use banned weapons, vehicles.

Alright I'm back but only for two nuisances: how can I remove the message "cannot play/edit this mission because files are deleted. rmod" (it just pops up but I can still play) and also being forced to place the banned weapons in my backpack or else it vanishes when I join back in the game?

The message cannot be removed unless Rmod is installed to your server, it still allows you to play, and use all banned weapons/vehicles. I haven't had any problems with the weapons, My server map is Fallujah, so I'm guessing most guns are unbanned here.
