Like I've said, using the database to add buildings is not the best way:
1. The object positions aren't correct
2. It takes longer to receive data when joining/respawning
Mission file being bigger by 20kb is going to have a lot less of an impact than it would adding them through the database.
I would strongly advise you to go with the mission method. First of all, if you are doing it via the database - the object placement is incorrect most of the time, as well as the more objects - the more it will take to receive data when joining your server.
Mission method is a lot easier, a...
Oh just look at all the mad "server admins", looks like I've hit a nerve for many.
Listen you kids, how about you all host a wasteland server and stop fucking this mod up with your shitty servers. I can't believe you're telling me about a survival aspect with the kind of servers you guys are...
So many CoD players in this post. If you want an arcade game, go play it. Tired of people putting this game into easy mode, and fucking it up on every turn.
Like the scrub couple of posts above, 900+ vehicle server. Are you freaking serious bro? I think you're ought to run a wasteland server...
The vehicles that are working here for people work without any modifications anyhow, all you have to do is run the latest beta patch.
The question here is how to unban the stuff we want, and not the stuff that is already unbanned.
This whole topic is useless. It will not work regardless of...
Didn't thevisad say he will keep up to date with DayZ versions?
Also, don't see it released anytime soon, considering DayZ devs dont give a flying duck about the game breaking glitches.
It's always new features or useless feature adjustment before bugfixes.
DayZCC pbo's are a bit more complex providing they have more features, but the differences are minor.
Everything is downloaded to you once you install DayZCC, so navigate to dayzcc/addons and you can find the server pbo there, and just take a look at it.
I'm not sure about how you do it but in the map editor a trigger has to be activated by something, so I'm guessing it gets activated by the player (you) instead of the vehicle itself?
The pilot hovering sounds like a trigger problem, not sure if you use those but try creating an appropriate trigger. I can dig up some map editor stuff to help with further information if needed, though you seem like you know what you're doing.
Good project, looking forward in trying this out...
Same here, been running nothing but DayzCC for almost a year, though now that the development stopped it's time to move on. Recently I've had some issues that may or may not have been caused by bugs in dayzcc, but I'm hoping that this will be more stable granted it's simple.
Tired of stuff...
