You should not have to delte it. The problem is that whatever you are using to launch the game should not have it enabled, be it by batch file or whatever. Just remove it from your active mods and only have dayz sahrani enabled.

I think they do it by inspecting memory location on the client so there isn't anything to be seen on the server end. Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done as far as I know.
Is there a hiveext.log file in there somewhere? Maybe take a look at that. One of the logs should have error messages that can point you in the right direction. Sorry I can't be more specific. I'm a little rusty.
Yes it is certainly possible. Just dump the database and import it into whichever server you are using. then reconfigure your dayz server to connect to is instead of whichever server came with your install package.
