It has to do with the server pbo file. Inside there's a few lines that define how it handles the debug field. Set it less. Currently it's like 4000 or something. Lower the value and you'll be good to go. There's actually a thread on here somewhere by pwn that describes the same thing.

There's some arma1 stuff out there I think if you search bohemias site you can find them. But mostly everything arma2 is binarized. You probably would have to create custom stuff yourself.

if whoever made the map made the terrain under the ocean going up to the islands to steep you will not be able to swim up and on to them.
I didn't have to delete anything. I'll throw my mission file up when I get home. Just change the spawn locations to yours and the file addon grandmanan to your name and see if that works.
I forgot to put up my mission file(I can do that tonight) but I know in mine the only addon change I did was the very first addon directly under class missions I changed chernarus to grandmanan. I left all the other spots that say chernarus alone.

Oh one other thing make sure you enable your addon in arma as well and if your using dayz commander you'll need to change the dayz path to your island path

Hey the easiest way to get your map to work with dayz, and since you made it, is to list all the dayz files in your island config file under the addon sections then binarize your map. Then put all those files into your @dayzmymap\addons folder. Also make sure you change inside the mission file...
