Client - "Waiting for host" - Dayz+

I have installed all the necessary files and followed the setup to create a dayz+ server. I run the server and everything looks good but when i go to join, client says "waiting for host" and will not load. I'm not sure where i went wrong. I'm new to the whole server hosting.
