Can I run a server? and how many players? I can add +1 GB Ram
 
I have allocated 4Gb RAM and 3 of my 6 cores to my VMware server. I have yet to see it go over 1.25Gb RAM usage. CPU utilized has been a max of about 40% when someone is joining.

Best bet is to try it out and see what happens. If it maxes out with just you playing, then obviously you need more power.
 
it uses bugger all ram and in reality bugger all CPU, even when we were getting 50-60 players it wasn't really taxing the CPU at all.
