General noobie question

Is it possible to run an arma server (specifically running dayz) and client on the same machine? I'd like to get into a bit of modding but would rather have a little test machine where I can try things out rather than use my live server for testing.
 
Depending on your hardware... Yes, absolutely. I´m running a server and i´m playing with 5 of my friends on one machine. Intel Core2Quad @3.06Ghz, 8 GB RAM, Win7 64-Bit.
