How to enable debug monitor on 1.7.6

Does the slightly nicer debug monitor still work for 1.7.6 or is there a new way of doing it.. Could anyone point me into the tight direction pls.. Thx

Press Insert ingame that's is the new ish monitor u can modify it there is a post somewhere

I do not believe that this can be edited yet. Some people use 3rd party and replace though.
