Massive lagg with 35+ players

Yo,

When my server reaches about 35+ players, massive lagg spikes make the game unplayable. Also people get kicked with 1000+ ping. When i check the server, the cpu only takes 30% and memory about 2GB. The server seems to do fine. What could be the problem here?

Server specs:
AMD Athlonâ„¢ II X4 2.3 GHz
8 GB DIMM (DDR3)
SATA 1,000 GB HDD
100 MBit
Webserver 2008 R2

I am getting this quite a bit now. I never used to have these. I don't have a very powerful server, but we used to be able to tolerate these numbers much more comfortably. No there is quite a bit of lag, and huge desync spikes that result in half the server losing connection. I would say the hardware can't handle it but it did in the past.
 
You need to keep and eye on hive logs, sql logs and rpt..
Have a look to see if something is spamming your sql, the server is fine, something else is causing the issues.

We had a bus which somehow sank through the floor near cherno docks and kept updating damage every 2 seconds and crippled the server with calling damage updates and polluting the hive and database.
 
We have found related problems on our private servers of different things spamming the database as well. In some earlier versions i was able to handle 70 plus players i now see issues around 40. I have thought about running multiple servers to remedy this although i have not taken that step yet unless anyone knows a good way to prevent ghosting lol.

I have noticed at high pop times that that there are several hundred connections to the server not sure if this could be a cause or not.

Same here. Anyone got a clue what could cause the lagg?
 
same here. 40+ People on the Server ---> LAG
FPS goes down to 5 FPS after 30min.
Sometimes a Helicopter is writing its damage in the Database 100+ per second

btw, anyone knows how to remove the FIRE and SMOKE from Crashed Helicopter (crashed by people) ?
 
So if I update to that version server side everything with Bliss will still run just Dandy? I ask because the last approved version is 97771.

I had this message happen and then my server shortly crashed. it all happened when a player with no name appeared to connect. I could not find any evidence of this player as nothing seemed to update after the server started spamming this message. strangely the server still function slightly I.e players next to me could fire and I could still hear them but I for one was stuck in the vehicle unable to get out etc.
