This forum is fairly low volume and even a small number of advertisements would be likely to lower the signal to noise ratio enough to cause the usual viewers (who are mostly server owners, not players) to tune out.

Better yet, don't advertise at all; it doesn't really work. The way to get a popular server is to have a seed of initial players (10-15) that all play the same time of day consistently, and to aggressively prevent hacking and other abuse once your population starts to grow beyond that initial seed.
