[RELEASE] Ixxo's Chernarus Enhancements - North East Airfield, Krasnostav

Hi guys, it's me again!

Another release from my series of Chernarus Enhancements. This is a dual-release as both areas are in close proximity. North East Airfield has been done by many people but I feel like my version is different from what other people have created and wanted to share it with you guys. I have surrounded the entire airfield with a fence and added some military loot areas and a few areas of interest. The runway also has lights so it will look good at night and a turning area for large aircraft so you can finally takeoff and land a C130!

Krasnostav now has a hospital area with parking and details added around, added apartments near the general store with a parking lot, some added detail around the back of the store and there is also a small industrial area on the outskirts towards the airfield.

As always, my areas won't have crazy barracks and weird buildings placed everywhere.

Could you put install instructions up please iam new to this but dont know how to load to my server without some help

Hi Mike.

The reason I never put up any install instructions is because there are so many ways to do it and sometimes a certain way does not work for some people but, saying that, the way that I did it was I put the areas inside my server.pbo.

I am not going to cover how to unpack your server and mission pbo's as there are numerous helpful posts on this website for that purpose.

Inside your server.pbo navigate to the folder missions > DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus
- Create a folder in here called buildings.
- This is where you will place my area .sqf files.

Now, navigate to server_functions.sqf inside the init folder in your server.pbo and open it.
- At the bottom of this file under all other code put this call:

call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "\z\addons\dayz_server\missions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus\buildings\areaname.sqf";

1. Edit the area name highlighted in red according to the name of the .sqf you want to load into your server.
2. Each area has it's own call like this. Just paste another one for each area you have.

Eg:

call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "\z\addons\dayz_server\missions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus\buildings\balota.sqf";
call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "\z\addons\dayz_server\missions\DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus\buildings\kamenka.sqf";

i really like your additions. Finally some well planned, well fitting, realistic and.. the best of all.. non-military stuff.

Thanks Mamu! I always found that some additions had far too many military areas and in unrealistic locations so I just thought screw it I'll make my own :D

Glad you like them! I have a few more additions on the way.

Thanks Ixxo , for the how to knowledge, still a bunch of us out here , well some anyway still learning , Im a little late to the server party .. I got sick of playing on servers that I had no control of , have built one, using one of the redo packs, had a bunch of your addons in it .. but it was way too much.. killed my fps on my laptop server lol.. it was just way too much work to disable all the stuff in it I didn't want .. after I got it lol.. didn't realize it would kill game play.
Anyway Im adding in one thing at a time, test and move on.. I have learned from my mistakes, and learned tons on how this all works, but still learning .. having a server of your own is only for the loonies out there.. which I apparently fit into that catagory cause I'm back for more lol.. now its a matter insanity .. I leave eat and breath this damned thing .. Im addicted ...Hi My name is Sean ..I have a problem .. I havent had a sqf in .. 24 hrs .. OMG yes I have .. please help me ..lol
 
Just found this and have on my server. Great job! Started me thinking that the runway lights would be a great addition to Balota and nwaf. I could not find the runway lights in the editor. Probably missed them. Where would they be? I realize that its been years since this was released but maybe if someone knows they could help me out.
