Sarge AI dynamic spawn question

I was just looking to get a little bit of info on how the dynamic spawning system works. Does it work in concert with the SAR_cfg_grps_chernarus.sqf file, or is it one or the other? I was under the impression it was the latter, although when I started messing with the grps file changing each town made the most drastic change on AI spawns.

Side note, does the dynamic spawn allow the AI to spawn out in the wilderness?
Also, how often does the dynamic spawn "poll" for the change to spawn AI? Is it like a time frame or dependent on movement?

Sorry for all the questions, Im trying to tweak my server to still keep that "alone" dayz feel to it, with the added element and surprise of bandits hitting my camp while Im trying to cook food,ect.
