Changing Weather, View distance, Fog ?

How to change the "View distance, Weather and Fog" in DayZ?
I would like better weather, longer view distance and less fog, so I have edited the "mission.sqm" file (startWeather and forecastWeather + date) and HiveExt.ini (replaced the date with 3 july), but nothing has changed.

Maybe I need to edit the server core... ? Is there any guide that I should follow?

mission.sqm and hiveext.ini are the correct files, are you compiling and replacing the correct mission pbo?

if you renamed, you edited the config.cfg name mission at the end?

OK, I figured how to change the weather and fog thanks to this guide http://opendayz.net/index.php?threads/change-weather-server-side.6702/

and it works fine, fog is set to '0' right now, but it seems does not affect the view distance...

Any help appreciated.
