Editing the mission Sqm instead of database

Is it possiable to put my static buildings in the mission file instead of the database or does it matter

I don't think it really matters which one you use. I prefer the mission sqm (and obviously using the 3d editor) to make a custom map. Easier and faster.

would it prevent lag or does is it the same aswell ?

I think the buildings won't slide so much. But don't know exactly
