Ok basically I have got a few issues. First of all is the one with extra items in the base building I have followed this guide to the letter:

I have added in a fire barrel. It work and spawns in ok. The only trouble is once it is built it disappears almost straight away. Even after I have done the server_publishObject task.
Secondly. Would it possible if someone can provide me with a list of all the buildings and items that are able to work with base building. As I know some items don't work.
Last but not least. Is there a script that can basically create events. We would like something where people have the option to go to a village/safepoint. And sign up for events. With this we would then like the option for a notice board to display current upcoming and past events. Not sure if its out there but if it is then cheers
