Looking for a good host for working on new mod

I'm working on writing a new DayZ mod (don't ask for details yet), and was wondering - what server host would you recommend? I of course need access to the base files, and to be able to upload / enable my mod, test, work on it, etc...

I don't want to pay a crap load during the development phase though (i.e. $200 / month for a dedi), so any suggestions would be great.
 
Why not just buy an old 2nd hand PC and run that as a server ? work out much cheaper for testing :)
Then when you're ready for small groups for public testing find a cheap VPS
 
Nevermind, my current provider was kind enough to set it up on their servers and give me access to change the files :)
 
vilayer. Not sure theyll do it for everyone though, had to pitch the idea to them

They do rovide base access by default though. I needed a separate @ folder though
