Map/Crosshairs indicators

Hello, sorry if this that been asked and answered a million times I have looked and cannot find anything related to it. But how do I turn off the little indicators that show up on the map, ie when flying in a chopper it shows loads of ground vehicles and people near by, the same for when you spot some one in a field they then show up on the map so you know where they are?

Also if this is related how can I turn off the cross hairs indicator, ie little bird 670 meters away. etc.
