I'm wanting to setup a private server for my clan. I already have MySQL installed on the machine I plan on running the server on, so the current method of using the packaged files to setup and start a server won't work as I can't run two instances of MySQL at the same time.
I've read the other forum posts where people have suggested running the DayZ server, exporting the DB it creates, then importing the DB into my real MySQL database and pointing the config to it instead of the one the package generates.
What I'm wondering is if anyone can save me the time of having to do all of this by sharing a stock DB with me? I'd really appreciate it, as would I'm sure others. I'm really surprised this isn't an option in the package, just include the .SQL file for a stock server and instructions for using it instead of the packaged MySQL server.
