[Public Preview Release] DayZ Nogova

Hi All,

We've decided to release an early stage preview build of DayZ Nogova to get some much needed feedback on how to further develop the map, please keep in mind this is a very early build and bugs / issues will be common place.

Please be aware that Nogova is an effort to stick to dayz vanilla as closely as possible, and simply provide a "new world" in which to roam, for this reason you will not find 600+ weapons, self bloodbag, crafting etc, you will find some new weapons that replace older weapons, and a few scripts to make fixing and refueling vehicles a bit easier.

A few notes about the mod / key areas etc

So far we have modified only 40% of the actual map so you will encounter roads leading to nowhere, buildings randomly placed and some glitchy doors, the map editing process is painstakingly slow as I work on this aspect of the mod myself.

Areas of Interest :

Once in game there are several complete or almost complete areas that will make your travel time worth it..

To the West of the map in the desert area is the main airfield with several military and military special spawns.

Also to the west not far from Petrovice is the Nogova military barracks / compound, travel here at your peril, the loot spawns are many but your chance of making it out alive are slim to none!

Lipany to the south east is the "capital" city of Nogova with a Hospital, firestation, supermarket and many new buildings that are lootable (please be aware we are having issues with a few buildings where doors will not open, this is being worked on)

Another key area of interest is Modrava, again containing a firestation, supermarket and residential loot spawns.

As you get to know your way round the map you'll find several nice surprises, also for the public preview we have inserted 50 vehicles, these spawns are mainly concentrated in the southern regions of the map, obviously as we progress with the mod spawns will be evened out over the whole map.

That's about as much typing as i can muster, if you want to know more about the map just download the client files and jump on the dev server, please remember again, this is an early preview, a work in progress you will encounter bugs, just be kind enough to let us know, the more you tell us the quicker we get them fixed and get a final build released.

Download nogova as a rar file here approximately 700MB

READ THE README!!!!

Simply extract the rar file then move @dayznogova to your arma2 directory, modify your launch parameters to start the beta version of OA and add -mod=@dayznogova or enable the expansion from the in game expansions menu.

Test server ip is : 94.242.250.137:2302 **UPDATED IP**

Battle eye IS running and anyone attempting to use hacks will be permanantly banned from the test server.

haha like it, i'm working on some nice screen grabs and a fly around video that should be up later tonight.
 
Just a quick update on the server, we're moving the server host so it is currently offline until the new server is set up.
 
The server will be up later this afternoon, it took a little longer to copy the arma2 files than i thought, i'll update the main post with the new ip soon.
 
Thanks for the bug reports, i'll fix the script error now.

The M249 gfx glitch seems to be cropping up in a few mods recently, can you tell me what gfx card you have, and what driver version if possible.

Thanks, testing on that beta now, can you confirm the battle eye kick you recieved was script restriction #110 ?
 
Okey so problem is fixex. BE dont kick anymore when im going to take stuff out of the vehicle content. Thank you for fixing problems.
 
Okey so i played few hours and i found a new bug.

G36c-SD gun is bugged. i found that in crash site, when i tryed to took it, it only says there's g36-sd magazine.
Also i dont know is this a bug but when you change camo clothing on, it turns a old bandit skin (that german soldier/bandit skin)
 
Thanks kaula, in fact the new camo clothing is the german bandit skin, that is meant to be, more camo clothing is going to be in the next release, and probably will use the current camo as the bandit skin base, will look in to the g36 issue for you, again, thanks for the testing, much appreciated.
 
Yeah no problem.. Hopefully next update or soon you could add more skins. seen only few so far, and yes i know u got a lot going on. Really appreciated what you are doing.
