A while back I made a deathmatch arena for our servers. It went over very well after some tweaking here and there. It was originally meant to host our "Shotty Saturday" deathmatch event with all players using a pump action shotgun, but it can work for any type of close quarters weapon. There is a staging area where we would spawn a box in with a voted on weapon plus ammo. After everyone grabbed a weapon and ammo, we would teleport each individual player into a connex and close the doors on them. Once everyone was in their own connex, we would start and the players could leave their connex and kill or be killed.
