Adding a building pack to Overwatch?

How would I / is it possible to add building packs such as the MBG kill houses to a private dedicated server hosting Overwatch?

you would have to add them to the client files and have anyone that joins your server specifically download those files instead of the official ones.

Would this mean the server would no longer be contactable with DayZ Commander? would it just be a case of them needing to just download the building pack and places in their directory i.e. @Buildings?

Correct, you wouldn't be able to download the files from dayz commander

if I was to take this route how difficult would it be to join a server that was run like this from a players perspective? I presume you would not be able to just download the mod file once it is not compatible with Cmdr and add it as a add-on and join through the multiplayer in operation arrowhead? Could you explain the process if you would have the time? Or point me in the right direction so I can look further into it…

You would have to host the files some where so they could be downloaded then the client would have to unzip them and drag them to their Arma2OA folder, then change the expansions when they launch the game.
