If your server is running and you can see it on dayzcommander, but it goes to hourglass as soon as you get stuck, which log would tell me where the server is getting stuck at or finding an error? Thanks.

Im not really the guy for you, but by any chance are you using the silent warrior admin tool? Because I use this on my vilayer server and if you don't install it properly, it will cause your server to hang up whenever someone tries to join. Good luck

yeah the issue was how i ported my map from arma 2 to dayz, it works now, sorta, thanks guys!
