Another great map from Icebreaker.

I've kinda made it to work although it's not finished atm there might be some bugs and loot not spawning like it should, meaning buildings that are special to Isla Duala.

So if anyone want's to try it out and test it or just have some fun in discovering new map download:

You could merge both files together to folder @duala so you won't have to mess around with different dayz folders if you play on other maps

As server uses rMod download that one also from here (also instructions how to install it):

How to run it? Well, if you use CO, like you should, you just create dayzduala.bat file in arma2 OA folder and put this inside

and run it, thats it.

Server name is DayZ - Isla Duala testing (1.7.4.4/Beta 99343) | 3rdP on | CH off | Tags off and it's using Pwnoz0r's server files (big thanks for great work on them) and modified Panthera/Lingor files. It's a small one as it runs from PC :)

Anyone can use dayz files to alter them, make them better as it's not finished as I kinda have very little knowledge about coding but it's a start if anyone want's to use them. Also dayz files are not signed so if you will run a server with these files disable signature check or sign them ;)

Great, tnx :) Been thinking about doing it for a while, at first had no idea how to fix buildings loot spawn, did that today by trial and error and some searching trough cfg. Fixed just those that are allready available in other maps.

Still needs some work on it. One or two big buildings have no loot, that has to be fixed. Then there's wood gathering issue as you can't harvest wood even in a moderatly dense tropical forest :D
Those would have to be fixed. Another issue is that one or two small buildings have no loot but those are not that important as they are not totally enterable.
Oh and fuel, there are fuel pumps that work automaticaly when vehicle is near, you can't refuel jerry can's there. Jerry cans can be refueled in two places that I know of, one is in refuge camp and another one in Kinsella, both on south side of the map. There might be more but I haven't explored/found more of them :)
 
WOOT! Yet again I have been fucked over. I guess next time I need to announce it 10 months earlier before I release it so my work doesn't go to waste again.
 
No need for that man, my project is at best a hobby one as I've said before I have very little knowledge about arma and coding. So please please continue your work.

Nope nope, you can have your rain now. You have already released it so no need for my input.
 
Ah, thats so sad to read you won't be doing it anymore as this little amateur project will or is come to a dead end. I simply don't have enough knowledge to finish map as it should be, perfect. I've gone trough avalaible buildings and there's quite a lot of them still without loot if I don't count smaller shacs there are 4 big ones (well 2 actually as 3 have just different wall colors) and I've been searching for a while now how to place loot inside with absolutely zero succes, must be really guarder secret :D.

Anyway, please reconsider doing it, you have waaay more knowledge about this and lets be honest you'll do a much better map.
 
If you want to set custom loot spawns you need to create your own script to find the positions. If there is not going to be issue with claiming I "stole" your work I will release the map, if not I will not bother. The DayZ Community does not need more drama.

By all means, please release it. I'm not gonna claim anything, the reason I made thread here is to share it so anyone can modify it. I totally agree with you, we really don't need anymore drama in Dayz.

Don't want to hijack this thread in anyway but what scripts do you need to create to get the positions? I am looking at porting a map, just as a personal project so I can teach myself.
