Users getting kicked for "SeaGull"

Lately we've been having random issue where users get kicked from the server for a Create Vehicles Restriction for "SeaGull". It will kick either new users connection to the server or users respawning after death and it will happen for every user that is doing one of those actions.

Usually, it will stop happening after a few minutes but in some cases it may take a server restart to resolve.

Any ideas what might be the issue? Might there be a script kiddie causing it? Our server is up-to-date with Bliss patches.

SeaGull is the generic class for a player before he takes another class like unit, this happens on:

1. connect
2. player die

nothing to worrie if the login/logout ratio are normal


and the kicks can be related with server lag, a complete restart will solve the problem and other related with the crazy shit of BE
 
It wasn't a normal ratio in my case. Every user that would die or connect would get the class for a period of time or until the server was restarted.

It wasn't been happening as frequently or severely as I've installed further Bliss/ARMA updates but it still happens occasionally and usually resolves itself after a few minute.
 
Hello, I'm sorry for bringing back an old post but I have been having the same problem and wondering if someone could shed some light on it (Couldn't find much information via google).

Recently, I've been having the ""SeaGull" issue at least 3 times a night. It would kick a large portion of players off the server and kick anyone trying to join. Generally around the time this happens, my server has 40-50 players therefore, I assumed it hackers causing grief or, as mentioned, server lag (Though I don't think its the latter).

I changed the "seagull" rule in CreateVehihcle.txt from kick to log. Now, instead of kicking players, it just logs the incident, as indented, but people still can't join the server. They are stuck in "Waiting for character to create" for a good 10-20min then eventually spawn as a seagull which can fly around and obverse other players.

Has anyone experience this issue and found a fix for it? Restarting the server 2-3 times a night isn't fun; kicking players off the server just to allow other players to join.

updating to the latest hiveEXT.dll and corresponding DLL's stopped this error happening to me.
