Sorry, real life was and is eating me up.
So the map is actually working with 1.7.5.1. We altered the loottable and added 700 spawn locations for vehicles. I will try to set up a fresh db and server today. Not sure if I will make it.
Oh dear ... i bet my coding knowledge is too limited to get this to run, at least not for the radio and fuel stuff. ^^
I will release the files the next days on github. So if anyone knows how to get this going you are more welcome to contribute ;)
I am not the main developer for Panthera.... i am just a nerd who tries to get the new version of the map running ;)
@your question: Probably the easiest way to install Panthera is to get the "DayZ Reality Server Pack"...
@1: Allready in the pipeline.
@2: :D
@3: per default on the map
@4: hmmm, nice idea. gonna ask icebreakr if he can put somthing in by default
@5: there will be defenatly new vehicles, but we have to watch out to make them not too powerfull.
It is my first experience with scripting too, but I am not afraid to use google. ;) It should be possible though, but I have to check this before making any further promises.
We started to place the vehicles today. At the end there will be over 1.000 spawn-locations for deferent vehicles. And yes there will be some new ones too. We have not decided in all details, but the RHIB will be in (not sure if we are going to make the M2 in its front useless). And at least one...
Besides the baseline there will be some significant weapon changes. To get a first impression you want to test our 1.7.4.4 Panthera server. There will be some new vehicles too and about 200-300 spawnpoints, for roughly 100 vehicles on the map. Regarding the RHIB: gonna have a closer look on this.
After I got tired of noone updating panthera island frequently I took the initiative. So long story short:
This map porting should get a community project. I allready talked to icebreakr the initial mapper of this great island and he gave me the permission to use his map. While I am preparing...
Besides the steady #44 kicks, wich can be fixed, u will be stuck within the dayz screen once u disconnected once and try to reconnect.
1.7.5 is running completly unstable atm. Actually we will stay with 1.7.4.4 until this is fixed.
Very good howto and a nice tool too. I tried it months ago. Unfortunetaly you have to buy FireDeamon after a 30 day trial period and multiserver support is pain in the but (well at least for me). Thats y i decided to not use it.
Nevertheless..... good tool.
