Im my Opinion, i run a Private Server from pwnoz0r and i keep it really has authentic has it can be. I have added some twist to it... Like some UNO Ural wrekck that containt some basic supplys. Or sometime i spawn the M1A1 (unarmed ofc) and we do some survival battle with these tanks that have always a huge leak on fuel and that cannot be repaired. Yet i am whatching 2017 like a mod that i would never or stlighty modificate it. No care packages or **** like that. Maybe make food even more scarse... or even create some Expired Canned food ^^ if you read the description in teh canned foods in Dayz, they say it can last until 5 years if well conserved 
I do agree on the fasct we will need a lsit of 100% autentic or maybe even some list that shows servers that are going 120% like just nothing to be found. or expired goods xD
