Excelsior Bridge - Chernarus

I copied your mission files into mine and opened it in mission editor it comes up perfectly but when I start the server with it the bridge sits just above the water about 10-15 feet low. Would you be able to have a look at my mission file and see what's going wrong?

You should already have those class Markers in your mission.sqm file.
After the class Markers section you should have a
}
}
}
Here is where you past in the "class Vehicles" stuff to add the bridge.

I think... I'm a novice at this stuff so...
 
Exelsior, Do you know if there is a way to add a static aircraft carrier with the class Vehicles section? Sorta like you did with the bridge.
I've found a few ways others have added one but they all seem to be drivable or something. I was just hoping for a decoration off the coast of Cherno or Electro that you could land a helicopter on.

i know. when i put it in the mission.sqm the bridge sits wrong. this is the mission.pbo

Did you copy paste? Try just replacing your entire mission.sqm with the one I uploaded.

I just tried it using your mission.sqm exactly, minus the briefing name and description. I get two bridges. One slanted and one looking normal.

Paste the code fails.

Used the mission file WM Pegz supplied. Had to remove the extra code for the refueling and loading it up.

Bridge was in.

First part on mainland seemed to have a duplicate part at an angle. Removed it.
Other end of the bridge same issue. Removed it.
Mainland side of the bridge again went tits up. >_<

*sigh* i hate arma2 engine
 
I already have a 'class Vehicles' where my custom-placed objects are. Should your entries be placed in there instead of after the Markers section? Following your instructions exactly, I get "Waiting for Host".
 
Weve got it running and there's two sections at the ends of the bridge, one is nice and flat and the other has the angel. Any advice?

I've got the code Wm Pegz gave. If I remove the stuff he added and just use what the OP has it results in the mission failing to load. Does this have anything to do with a refueling script?
 
the bridge code alone can just be added to an already existing vehicles section, provided you renumber everything accordingly. The bridge code should not interfere with anything else at all by itself.

Working nicely on my server, thank you.

Vehicle seem to be surviving server restart, how did you accomplish this? Or just my dumb luck?
I also have a duplicate section at the island end, but it's flush so there are no issues. (Same issue with adding the LHD)
 
No I gave up and removed it


hey take a look at mine i got it to work. i just have one duplicate part at island end.

i didnt add any refuel or anything diff than normal. so u could edit the /////////// lines out cuz i dont know if comments work inside the script. i put at the start of where i pasted and where it ended where i pasted.

Still cant figure out whats wrong, looks like two bridges, one normal, one following the contour of the ground.... mission PBO here, any help?
 
First of all, thanks for sharing the fantastic bridge. i have a few suggestion wanna say. do u think u can add another bridge cross to the island and can u also make the bridge little bit wider that allows two vehicles drive (in) and (out). i have this ideas becoz...since i add this great bridge into the server, a lot of people love it, but...it becomes a place for bandits to hunt down other players. becoz the bridge is one way ticket...the car will not able to turn around right away...thanks for looking my comments :)
 
Eddie, the bridge is made up of premade piers, theres no way to make it "wider" you could however have a second bridge right next to it, but that wouldn't help the "turn around" thing.
