};

};
Please answer me
Thank you
(Sorry for bad english language skill...)

In MPMissions folder. Ever tried browsing your game directory in order to find the files you need? It's effective.

We're not retarded, smart ass. There is no mission.pbo or dayz_mission.pbo in that folder go look, it's effective. Turns out you can just use the unpacked dayz_1.chernarus folder for your modifications without having to repack it.

your mission.pbo is to be downloaded from your server. for example, on dayz.st you scroll to the bottom of your control panel, check
Advanced Settings, then click on get default

I assume that you guys are using either Pwnzor's server or DayZCC or something of the like, so to confirm, xakiru is right, there is no mission.pbo or dayz_mission.pbo for these servers, they use an unpacked version in the MPMissions folder called dayz_(instance #).chernarus . I have been having trouble installing a few mods because of this fact, but there are workarounds if you look hard enough (google is your friend). Hope I helped! :D

doesnt matter if the mission is packed to pbo or not... it works the same way...
so where exactly is the problem now?...

all these questions i have read the last few days here and in the epoch forum too... im really curious where all this leads...

gentlemen... please start your brains... before posting... or try to mod your mission...
its effective...

@Gagi2, for example, Pwnzor has parts of the mission file in the server.pbo, which may make it difficult to find certain lines in, say, the init.sqf, because some of the lines he may be looking for may be in differen files. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I have been a bit busy.

in case some content of these files was moved the new file would be called in the old files..
so if you can read you can find out where its located then...
if you can not read... you shouldnt even think about trying to mod your files...

some things in life need a bit more then just wanting it badly...

Correct, however I was making the point that new users might have that knowledge, and was simply trying to point out that not everything is in one place.

You didn't have to be a condescending ass...

It seems I have better answered the user's question better than you have. Nobody asked if the packed pbos work the same as unpacked pbos. Please try to read or use your brain next time you respond. It's highly effective.

Feel free to leave, now.

what are you? robin hood of the dumb or what?

Feel free to leave, now.
been there... done that... do you have any other suggestions for me oh dear mr right?

It seems I have better answered the user's question better than you have.
oh well... look around... nobody cares about that...

i guess you missed some posts then...

No, I just don't like assholes like you who post about how superior they are on new users/admins' posts. It doesn't help anyone and it makes people shy away from the community.

I was just trying to help a user by answering his/her question.

That wasn't helpful in any way shape or form.

If you had only said
doesnt matter if the mission is packed to pbo or not... it works the same way...

I would have completely agreed with you. Of course, you're a bigoted asshole, so you didn't.

Piss off.

Pretty sure any user who happens to stumble onto this thread looking for answers would.

i guess you missed some posts then...
Not on this post, dumbass.

uh oh.... mr right goes wrong now... very impressive...
I didn't quite follow this one. It doesn't really matter, though, it probably didn't have any actual meaning or value anyways.

Honestly, this has gotten quite out of control, we're not even talking about/responding to the original question anymore (not that you ever were). If you want to make a special thread where you can post about your superiority, go right ahead. I won't be posting back.

it seems the mods give a shit about all this... maybe they have their day off...

I won't be posting back.
im not so sure about that... it seems you are trying to make some connections here...

you called me now: condescending ass, asshole, bigoted asshole,dumbass...
usually i would tell you now to fuck off and get lost... but im not going to go down on your level right now...

yeah im cool... but remember... he started this shit... with calling me an asshole etc...
reported it 2 times... nobody cares... so i really wonder if this idiot has some friends up in the highest row...

I don't moderate this section so... Yeah. Now if you wanted to be mature then ' he started it', 'oh he called me an asshole'. Just remember this is the internet there is no justice here.
