Does anyone know how to influence the temperature in the dayz mod on the chernarus map?
Let's say I would like the nights to be much colder, and also when it rains.
iow, the character in chernarus should see the temp erature icon drop much earlier, when it is night, or when it is raining...

Nice summary. I f they could match the balance like version DayZ 2017 v2.01, and implement that in the namalsk 2017, including the weather and animal spawn of regular namalsk, it would be awesome. Because when it came to balance, i think v2.01 was the best version ever...

yeah, you have to put compiles.sqf ( because it calls the player_animalCheck.sqf file) and player_animalCheck.sqf in your missionfile. (both files can be found in dayz_code)

Btw, i corrected my previous post a bit. Because AI is only target practice when the player has cover and the enemy AI has not, which then basically leaves them standing in the open uncovered.

Would Disabling UPSmon help? I know tactics like flanking, respect grid borders(?) won't be working anymore.

i tried to load this "player_animalCheck.sqf" in my mission file, but it doesn't seem to work. Removed cows, and still see cows. Can anyone advise on how to load this? I just want rabbits, and perhaps hens.
EDIT: Sorry, found it, you have load compiles in mission file as well and define it there.
Thanks for the answer. I have weird working hours atm, so i can't really check it out atm. Also, i probably don't have enough knowledge to test it out.
But it would be great if on detecting a player, they would search for cover, and fight from behind cover. and also move very stealthy.
I'm currently using Sarge AI on a dayz 2017 server. Now, I maxed out all their qualities. And I like it a lot. It's even fun to watch how they react, search through buildings and use all kinds of tactics. Sometimes they even throw smoke granates as cover. :)

I agree with you, but currently dayz 2017 is not a challenge after you have geared up. Perhaps with a full server and mixture of survivors or bandits, it is.
The trick is to find the right balance. A certain balance might work while searching for basic gear., but might not work after...
Allright, fair enough. If you prefer a clean dayz 2017, then this server will probably not be your thing.
Edit: if zombies would attack AI, you would probably have an easier time, since they would attract them, and then you could loot (also their bodies) for free ;)
Didn't want to make a new topic, but thanks a lot Sarge for your script! So easy to config, and I currently have a lot of fun with it on my server. It's actually fun to watch with binoculars how they work and move, how they cvheck out buidlings and stuff.
