We abandoned this type of system originally because the fog doesn't saturate well when you try to cover the entire map in it at once. Having it follow the player required less resources and allowed it to have greater density. When we covered the whole map with it the density started doing...
What does online mean to you? Showing in commander, or showing in the ARMA2 browser? If it shows in the ARMA2 browser it is online.
I don't know what kind of black magic witchcraft is required to get it on DZC.
Were you able to get the FSM version to work in multi with it tied to the player? If so, I'd love to know how.
I tweaked the settings quite a bit in the editor and was able to get it to where it was visually impressive but didn't tank my laptop performance. I just could never get it to run in...
That has
Whether or not the fog can keep up with you while driving is dependent on the fog settings, provided the delay between when you get in a vehicle and when it starts spawning is eliminated. I have settings that work great with the Rockhount fog, but I haven't tried to accomplish the same...
Does that change with a .FSM? Rockhount's fog works fine when you tie it to an object, but since you can't really layer an entire map in fog spawners without graphics anomalies it won't work well.
His script says you can replace a static object with "player" and make it follow, and it works...
This is incorrect. The Tara bridge air launch is an anti-teleport measure, but it's in the mod itself, not battleye. It sees you stepping on the tracks and considers the frequent position changes teleporting, so it drops you from 500 feet to punish you. You have to disable the built in 1.7.6.1...
Rockhount's version seems to adapt better to elevations, but when I try to cover the entire map with it I get the same weird popcorn cloud spawning effect. Whole fields of them will de-spawn and re-spawn in unison, totally ruining the effect altogether...
It doesn't work while in vehicles at the moment so it's not of much use.
If I could figure out what the variable for Player is in DayZ I think I could get Rockhount's Fog to work and follow players around, but so far it only works in the editor. When I kick on a real server it doesn't.
I suppose it could be your add-on anti-hack but I don't run one myself so I have no experience to draw from. I know the built in one definitely does what you describe.
If you want to post your mission PBO I can compare it to mine. I disabled the built-in anti-hack too, and don't seem to have...
