Is there a way to modify the script so it sets off a Road flare or a smoke grenade instead?

You could, but his script is pretty advanced. You'd have to go through and change quite a few things.

unfortunately im not skilled enough to alter it myself without someone telling me what I would have to change. And a multi hour google search for something that would fit the bill straight out of the box has been disappointing. any more help would be appreciated. perhaps a simpler script easier to alter but produce the same results.

Nope, the only reply was Vampire, who is more interested in stating the obvious than actually helping.
