DayZ Civilian v 2.0 Rolling Changelog

The mod seems stable for release, definitely 100 x's better than what is out presently. Couldnt you guys proceed with the release then continue on and release a smaller hotfix update in the near future to add some of the other things that are in the making? Presently the mod is so buggy to the point that players can't save their 'precious gear' due to skin bugs desyncing amongst other catastrophic glitches.

Yes, this weekend is the release date. I need to configure the r700's hopefully pass my driving test :3, and add some new sounds. It is a four day weekend so it will be out :D
 
Okay, r700 silenced and m24 silenced variants will not be in the initail 2.0 release. But today I finished the inventory textures, ink made some new textures for the m4a1 and m16a4, I made a new texture for the acog (rusted), and some rpt errors. Tomorrow will be finishing the mosin nagant attachments, if ink wants to make some more texture, then some more weapons textures, loot positions, new sounds, loot fixes, and... MOAR SKINS :D.

Good to see many interesting features ! Just a quick question : will the first person view configurable ? I ask this because many players cannot play all the time in first view due to lags for example.

Hello fellow Survivors/Bandits/Heroes!
Today, I am proud to announce DayZ Civilian 2.0 is finally out and is better, less buggy, and more immersive than before! After a month since the last hotfix and half the dev team not doing anything, we were left with me, the 16 year old with ADD and GAD, lazyink, sharkking, Marc, and Ripsaw. We saw the direction that Civilian was going in and decided to flip it around. Instead of being this 'lol' mod, we decided to add more elements to make it more immersive, better, and less buggy.
We finally know what DayZ Civilian is all about: Making DayZ harder, better, and more immersive. So far we aren't completely done with the immersion as we have many planned features including PTSD, Dehydration symptoms, sleep deprivation symptoms, and many more diseases, and maybe mental disorders, which will all come in 3.0. We removed ALL previous building and we have completely redone Chernogrosk, North East Airfield and Elektrovask, in 3.0 we hope to spend a lot more time on the map.
So, what is different now? Well here are the features I think I should highlight:
- You now leave a trail of blood when bleeding
- Many new environment sounds
- Many, many more guns are now customize-able
- Many more variants of the m24 and a new r700 (I made it :3)
- Many new textures on a lot of the guns to have scratches, dirt, and rust on them
- Many new enter-able buildings
- New crossbow and hatchet texture
- More civilian rifles around
- Loot tables made to be more harsh
- Oh the bug fixes, no more de-sync, broken bone glitch, glitchy f1 car (removed it,) no more gender changing by changing clothes
- Removal of unnecsary addons and immersion breaking these include: Sa russian architecture. Alpion buildings (the island type buildings,) F1 CARS, AND NISSAN 350Z's. IMG_Marine aquatics (they included the glitchy yacht and jet skii's.)
- Oh and for the 1.7.7.1 code, infection was nerfed.

Removal of things people will love:

- NO MORE ZOIDBERG (I'm sorry for my obsession, shouldn't of touched the mod)
- Annoying zombie squeals from L4D2
- F1 Cars (Wave goodbye)

*My concern for people saying paintball will ruin the immersion: It is a little mini-game, the skins are there to be skins, it is realistic and plausible.

TL:DR Check out 2.0, we have removed and added so much ranging from immersive gun textures to new environment sounds, we promise it is a much, much better experience than before. No more f1 cars, nissans, nor Zoidberg noises!
 
Updated changelog release date is still targeted for today. I just need to finish homework, workout, do some map fixes and get ak's customizable (excluding silenced) and we are good to go!
 
Yes I had no answers, will it be possible to activate 3rd person view ? Many player can't play without it !

Sadly I may have to delay the release, testing still needs to be done, school is taking up a lot of time and my HDD is a bit slow on loading arma. Good new is that I can easily get done customization for AK's and while my friends are testing, I can add attachments to crossbows, the remington 870, and even get the m4 to be customized into an m4 with magpul!

Nick,,, you still have the 'crowbar/knockout' feature installed server side? Never could get that to work, but would have went awesome with the AS_jail's ;D
