[SUPPORT] - Sheeps Epoch Repack

scream said:
Hi sheep thanks for the fast response I found out the problem was in my FTP transfer settings I forgot to check "overwrite and replace" when adding the folders which duplicated everything and caused my starting download on joining the server to be over 10k kb and the scripts to not work properly . I've got everything setup and running great now

Just got to say a massive thanks and we'll done I've spent the past months finding and installing buggy script after script following YouTube guides etc (most of which outdated) trying to set up my server . With you're repackage I've got absolutely everything I need and it took minutes to sort out. At least In the process I have now developed a better understanding of coding and scripts etc. so I guess it's a win win lol.

One question though I'm really getting into all this computer stuff and am thinking of doing maybe a programming course or watever at college to learn more. What language is stuff like this written in or is it different for each game/mod?

Thanks you guys are the best

the language is is it own code (actually aram has 3 :P ) and most games have ther own or a take on popular ones such as C++, but the basics are pretty much universal when it comes to programming, once you under stand the basics of programming you can learn to code in almost any language, oh and i cant stress enough PRACTICE coding!

Having a little issue now I switched to overpoch cherno using the latest pack , traders all show overpoch stuff as expected but no weapons from overpoch actually spawn randomly only weapons found are standard epoch ones

Im using http://www.mediafire.com/download/1d4io0bhi084h40/0.14_Chernarus_NAPF_Multi.rar as I wanted to use Cherno as the map

All worked fine when I tested the brave sir robin NAPF one here http://www.mediafire.com/download/rei5fotqq9uqeya/0.14 Napf - BSR Single Char Over-Epoch v4.2.rar

Any pointers ?

the last release was 0.14 and is available here

http://www.mediafire.com/download/1d4io0bhi084h40/0.14_Chernarus_NAPF_Multi.rar

it has both NAPF and Chernarus

there are still some minor bugs as i no longer create or update the repack,

that being said the bugs are not game breaking ones and with a bit a searching can be fixed easily,
some user have already posted fixes in this thread.

anyone know why my console is spmming this error

Ok so the Issue for this was actually nothing to do with Server_functions.sqf and everything to do with the Building addon for array island called Insel.sqf found in the CustomBuildings file in the server pbo (trust me it also had me scratching my head). The original Author called in the Ai for the units using this:
Code:
    _this setVariable ["MalSar",true];
Plus they also used some of the AIF buidlings that are old that resulted in the error message when first loading for all players.
Easy fix is to d/l this new version I rewrote and replace the old file with this one. Remember to repack the PBO and upload it.

Another Issue I found was with the spawnbike scripts, some may have found that when repacking the bike, motorbike or mozzie a nearby object disappeared. I wonlt go into symantics however to fix this d/l this file and replace the spawnbike folder found in the mission pbo/scripts with this one.

Weird issue with 0.14, server doesnt restart. The timer continues to count down, and starts to count in negative numbers, but the server never reboots... ideas?

Nope. Home-Based. T1, so no big deal. And if its not managed within the repack, then why does it list that it will restart the server after 3 hours? And by list, i mean the UI within game (debug i believe) that shows health, speed, etc shows a server restart timer. If thats not tied to an actual reboot program, then ill write one, unless someone knows of one that i can just download =P if not thats cool.
