[SUPPORT] - Sheeps Epoch Repack

Been resolved long ago . like dec 2014, maybe before

First off: thank you for replying Geekin, I feared that the thread was dead with Sheep leaving Arma2.
Second: If that is the case, and it was fixed, then the download of .15 that is available on the git could be broken. I downloaded it 2 days ago and have been checking every bit of code against a working version (added the addons in one by one) and Sheeps repack still doesn't allow building. As soon as you try to build anything, wall, floor, campfire.. you press spacebar and it cancels the building. I have to assume that there's a conflict within the dayz_spaceinterupt.sqf and/or the player_build.sqf somewhere. I cannot for the life of me find it however. If it was fixed, I just can't see how or where it was. I'll continue to review the code and see if I can find some discrepancy somewhere that would explain it. It is a shame (for me at least), I love the scripts/addons and the additions that were placed in the map. Can't use the repack without the building ability however; defeats most of the purpose of Epoch.
 
heys guys long time no chat!

so ive decided that i will be coming back and making a new repack!
however this will be for epoch 1.06 and the new arma 2 EOL pacth when they are released.

if some kind user has fixed the current bugs in the 0.15 GIT builds could they please post them (better yet PM them) and i will merge them into the official GIT builds.

PLEASE report bugs on the GIT page using gits bug tracker!!!
Only report bugs for the REPACK you are using!

If you have fixed a bug also report it on GIT and supply the code please so i can merge it in.


Also if Epoch 1.06 dosn't come out i will contact them and see if they will let me use there current build and merge it with overwatch and make an official Overpoch MOD.
 
Chernarus last I used was working fine, the issue had been cleared, if your using another build .. napf etc .. Cant tell u about issues with that

which repack are you using?

have you made any changes?

this issue was resolved and i have checked the GIT and it dosnt seem to affect any of the current builds??

Basically trying to get sell from vehicle and backpack working (mainly backpack if it is easier).
Menu comes up.
Trade completes.
Items disappear.
No gold. :(

any RPT errors?: no

changed/added/removed ANYTHING in the repack?: changed a few AI settings, and trader prices

private or hosted server?: Hosted

server host (if hosted)? :GTX

any anti hack?: infiSTAR

Issue: 1: Tradefrombackpack will take the items and sell them, but will not return any gold.


2: Robbank was making the screen turn grey after it started to a successful robbery. *currently disabled via scriptcontrol

3: Vehicles aren't showing the cargo capacity while inside the gear/inventory UI.

turn off infistar and test everything works if it does then infis the issue and you need to make excemptions for the brocken scripts, if issues still there with no infi let us know, make sure in scripts\tradefromvehicle2.0\setup\init.sqf that TFV_COINS is set to false
 
hey sheep, first off your amazing. And bring something to alot of new coders that inspires them to dive deeper into it. Without you around we'd have alot of horridly coded servers imo. I'm on the verge of finishing my server up. I want your napf patch in there tho. I've tried like 30 times to get this in working correctly. All i want to add is the zupa coins. I cant get the napf one to work at all. I had it going one time but characters wouldn't save to database. I'm at a loss to what to do, and have a high population waiting on me to finish server. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW would love to chat sometime in TS if ya ever get time. Been following ya for quite a while now.
 
alot of scripts need changed to work with single currency, im working on a NAPF single currency for my self so ill push it to GIT, just be aware the first couple of builds will be buggy,

i also updated some of the gits with small fixes for typos and missing paths :)
 
If anyone has a the new napf map working with single currency would love it. I have it working fine but have a problem with character data saving. Can save everything on vehicles and building stuff but every death or log character respawns new. Also noticed cant upgrade like cinderblock walls.

I still wasnt getting any coin back with infistar off... How would I go about making an exemption for infistar to let tradefromvehicle go thru?

infi isnt offically supported, and i dont use it yet in the packs, so i wouldnt know how ... yet :)
im sure its not to hard, check the infi forum/site or shot chris an email

now just to clarify your not getting any coins?
is this single currency?
or do you mean gold bars?

Hey guys, I have been having the "Cannot Sync Character xxx as no characterID", and it is preventing anyone from joining my server, I have tried .15 and now I'm trying .14. They both give me the same error in the RPT when someone tries to join. There is also the error "player without identity", which I don't know if is normal or not. I've tried wiping the database, deleting the characterID when it is "0", and multiple fresh installs. I have not made any changes to the files after installing the repack on a new database. I don't know what to do next. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

Sheep, it was very easy to add single currency to your 0.15 pack. Your repack is very well done. The only question I have for it though is I have set myself up for super admin, and when I go to build anything (using the item in my gear), it still does the admin instant build and does not use the item from my gear. Is there a way to turn this feature off as I have no intention on using admin build ?

you can remove it easily
