Hi ebay. I haven't moved the server over to 1.0.5.1 yet. I am having an issue with the players spawning in as a z after being infected. There are 2 issues. 1 My halo just sits at an altitude and doesn't drop which then has a knock on effect as when someone spawns in and they select halo they can't get out of it. Any help? I guess this will be fixed If I can work out what is stopping my halo drop from dropping.....
 
Ebay... great script. Ran for a few days fine under epoch 1.0.4.2, but after upgrading to 1.0.5.1 we have a player that logs in, selects class and spawn location and plays for a few minutes with no issues. Then he suddenly turns into a goat. Of course infistar temp bans and auto kicks him. He cannot log back in... gets hung up just before the class select screen. But he's actually in game, where he was kicked... can hear sounds, etc. But sees the loading screen.

It may not be your script causing his issues, but it's the only script we're running that has anything to do with clothing selection. Any ideas?
 
quick response... thanks. yes, I'm using the new OP files. And we're running infistar AH0331D on GTX hosting.

So far, this is only happening to one player, but we're a low pop server working out the kinks before we go public. I'm having him try another server with the spawn select script to see if it happens there too. Nothing showing in the logs as to why he turns into a goat lol. Really odd issue here.

I got a big problem here. Script works good and all.

But when players wait more than 30 secs to choose a class. The player spawns randomely somewhere. The class menu is still up. But when you select a class after. You get stuck on loading screen. You can still move and shoot. But all you see is loading screen.

Any help would be appreatiated
 
thanks for the info... I've ruled out your addon. I removed it and the player still cannot login. It's like the situation a few posts above... he gets into the game, can hear sounds and fire weapon, run, etc.... but is still at the login screen. But it's just the one player, no one else. We'll figure it out eventually... 1051 really did a number on all the addons this time. Thanks :)

I've deleted his data from the db and even had another player share his steam id and login. The other player can get in fine, but he can't. But he can login and play on other servers. Really odd situation.
 
@gr8_boi52 - I tested with and without infistar on 1.0.5.1 Napf with the newest steam patch and I can not reproduce. I am able to wait indefinitely on the class selection screen without issue. It sounds like something else is running at startup that is conflicting. What other mods are you running?

I am currently only running server welcome credits at login.

I've been playing around a bit more with the script. basically I'm trying to randomise the weapons for some of the loadouts.
I'm stuck on retrying to authenticate on my test box.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?
