Sauerland comes with epoch.


On a side note, I am have the Sauerland Overpoch Repack hosted through Vilayer, and when a player logs into the server, right after DZGM boots up, the game freezes for about a minute. If anybody else has this problem or a solution to it, let me know. I can't seem to find the cause of it.

its in your hiveect.ini shoul look something like this:

;Negative values will disable this feature
;0 means that ALL empty placed items will be deleted every server restart
;A positive number is how old (in days) a placed empty item must be, in order for it to be deleted
;CleanupPlacedAfterDays = 6

You need to remove the ; infront of cleanup, and change the number:

;Negative values will disable this feature

CleanupPlacedAfterDays = -1

That is taken directly from my hiveext.ini

I am aware sauderland comes with epoch .. the issue is how the players will be able to find the server if its not listed on dayz launcher or commander .. play with 6 is a nightmare .. I couldn't even find a sauderland server listed.. so yes u have sauerland .. but no players lol

They have to download the client map to play .. and most are too lazy to fart .. if its not super easy .. they dont even try

I've had several players who are new to sauerland and have never played it before join our server. I've already lost people by running overpoch as well considering people are too lazy to start the game up with extra parameters. the flow hasnt been too bad though, we have maybe 2-3 new people every day at the very least. the server shows up in both launcher and commander, and launcher doesnt need any extra parameters to launch overpoch, so thats where we get our players from most of the time. I dont use play with 6, I've always found myself having trouble with it one way or another so idk if it would show up, try searching AP Gaming OverPoch, thats our Sauerland server, it might not show up if you are just searching Sauerland considering its not in the title.
 
Hi installed this on my server no problem but i dont have the scroll menue on mousewheel for suicide etc, anybody got any ideas ? thanks
 
ok.. I have epoch sauerland up and working .. anyone have any tips on making this ovepoch . I have the overwatch client files installed and downloaded overwatch server files... what from overwatch server files needs to be copied over to epoch to make it ovepoch..
 
hero base mission, and bandit base mission don't appear to be spawning in all the AI that are in the mission file.

I've done both, only 4ish ai spawned. And zero loot.

You just need to put the overwatch files (client not server) in your root directory of your server (you must have epoch installed first!) and then add the @overwatch to your startup command line.

ill see if i can fix this up, i think its affecting all builds, the new tradefrombackpack 2.0 dosnt want to work correctly and the old one needs you to maintian a seperate trade items/cost

if you use steam set your startup to this

-mod=@DayzOverwatch;@Dayz_Epoch;

if you get the overwatch start up then change them around like so

-mod=@Dayz_Epoch;@DayzOverwatch;
 
Are you planning on bringing out an error free repack anytime soon? I would LOVE to use one for a new project but unfortunately the sheer number of errors in the existing ones turn me off them. I like the work that you do though, keep it up :)

Errors ?? Dude this is Testing forum .. not final product .. the Epoch Chernarus is Rock Solid .. DAYZ will NEVER EVER be error free.. nature or the beast ... Arma2 is full of bugs
