Origins Server?

I am comparing your files to Cortez files and was wondering, the core_time.fsm file, is that what gives 4 hr day/night?


I have tried to make his files run the server without the noentry.config error but its not working. No client is able to join the server. I am now going to use the cortex files and test.
 
The git files are Cortezs files.
We added anything he's offered as updates.

- still need a fix for the cross.
- still need a fix for the combat issue.

Someone posted they fixed it, but the problem with these people, is that they claim they fixed it, but they never offer a solution, so we can't update git with something we don't have.

If you find a fix, share it here and we can update the files for everyone.


I was aware they're the same files just the git is a nice place for it to all be located rather than trawl through the forum for all the links and i was going to make a comment about that earlier but thought better of myself, theres many a people claiming to have fixed bits but no one shares the work at all
 
I figured out a fix for the combat timer.
Appears some lines were missing.

Edit \MPMissions\dayz_1.origins.tavi\Debug\player_spawn_2.sqf

This code comes from the old debug, and some of it may not be needed, but I didn't want to screw with it too much since it fixed the issue.

just downloaded and using the files from the git

when joining server getting stuck on requesting authentication, then i get a black screen saying something went wrong and then it just stays there.

i am never going to get the server running :(
 
ok i will try those files. have you tested them ? and loot spawn and sector B urals are fixed ?
 
I ran your build, no problems Major Pain, although it seemed slightly laggy, as in Server FPS, only 1 player in too. Not sure if that has anything to do with it?
 
Can't use our build. Unless you packed the .pbo manually.
Seems there is a bug in the build process, yet the code looks ok to me.

Going to have indepth take another look since he created it and might see an issue.

Seems the build process creates the .pbo as:

\DEPLOY\@dayz_1.origins.tavi\addons\dayz_server\dayz_server

It's duplicating the dayz_server folder.
 
we have another problem on our server...
my group and some other guys already have built some houses and garages...
and from time to time... the gear you have stored in them is gone...
the rpt log says something with unkid which means unknown id

atm i suppose then nobody has fixed+working files.

thank you majorpain for looking into this, i will patiently wait for the working files so i can (i hope) finally be able to host a server.
 
I fixed it now.
The build.bat had an error which resulted in:

Warning Message: Script z\addons\dayz_server\init\server_functions.sqf not found

Should be fine now.

You would probably only have to delete the @dayz_1.origins.tavi folder.
Download the files from git, and run the build.bat again.
Then copy the \Deploy\@dayz_1.origins.tavi folder into your existing files and that should fix your issue.

my server is working good but the lootspawn . i am chinese and my english is not good like you guys .

i read your guys post list night with 5 hours . and i didn't find out where you guys talk about fix loot spawn .

Did as you told in your steps, started the server and i get this error, when player joining the server -

8:37:41 Script z\addons\dayz_server\init\server_functions.sqf not found

I am guessing the files are still not fixed.

On googling I found out that file is in @hive folder, which is in the github of SanKen.
I dunno what I should do, i will just try downloading and putting it here :confused:

Also, i noticed, two new folders have now been added in the Github, which were not there when i downloaded few hours ago -
