Origins Server?

Hey guys, im using cortez´s files and i can no longer change my inventory in mysql, whenever i do it and save it reverts when i log back in to the game, is there anyway to fix this?
i have this issue too from time to time... but not always...
and sometimes it doesnt work on one player... but on another it works well...
it seems the server has a sort of memory ^^
 
I will just put a working copy in the git to save people any issues.
They folder can then be used to reference the file contained in it.

Your probably getting the same errors.

Did you download the zip and copy the dayz_server.pbo into the addons folder?
It works. It' right off my working server.

Wait about 30-60 seconds before editing your inventory. The files take that long to write the inventory to the database from the game. So logout -> 30-60 seconds while the server writes your stuff to the database-> then edit inventory.

If you do it any sooner, the changes you made get overwritten when the server writes your stuff to the database.
 
I am trying to keep up with this thread as much as I can, but things at work have kept me preoccupied lately. I know some other people are/were having server FPS issues. Has anyone else found a potential solution to this problem?
 
I wonder if those server files are not from version 1.6.1
There were also problems with the server FPS and leaping heli AI

My official server is now 45fps with 26 players

As far i have ssen from the tests it just adds new AI but does not replace the old one ? I disabled the Origins AI but then eg Salvation is empty

Yea, it only adds AI, I can make it replace but I havnt had any problems with Origins AI, so I prefer to keep them.

I am trying to increase the AI guards in SecB. I want to have 4 groups of guards. 1 in the normal spots, 1 in the ural area, 1 at the hotel/control tower and 1 guarding the fuel tanks. I'll then have the area outside the wall guarded by SargeAi's. I thought by replicating the main SecB guard routine, changing the positions and changing the typeID that I would get the four groups. Here is one of the group codes that I made, but of course only the first group is spawning. Am I going about this the right way?

i added 2 guards in city B .

1. copy a team . like g01g and rename all go1g to g02g. like my code.

2. add the code . call

before server start . .. i can't make BE working . . how to fix it

Wait about 30-60 seconds before editing your inventory. The files take that long to write the inventory to the database from the game. So logout -> 30-60 seconds while the server writes your stuff to the database-> then edit inventory.

If you do it any sooner, the changes you made get overwritten when the server writes your stuff to the database.

Hey guys, my loot dissapears if i go outside of a building full of loot and enter a vehicle, then go back out and all the loot is gone. is there anyway to fix this? loot seems really awkward overall..

still using cortez files. these to be exact http://dayz.epm-gaming.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=19

is there any different or better files i can use that have this problem fixed?

loot is really really awkward.. sometimes spawns really fast, sometimes doesn't at all. sometimes players get glitched out completely and they don't see any loot at all until the restart. after restart loot is fine for them. When you enter a city with a vehicle and u get too close to spawn points , many times loot doesn't spawn at all in the entire city.

I am looting cycling the barracks, loot is tons and tons, awesome. ofc the zombies don't respawn but that is a different story. so I go to the lobby and join in again. All the loot VANISHES!! and never respawns. i went to small island, came back after 2 hours still nothing spawning. server had 20 players, this was tried by 2 more of my friends.

In short: LOOT IS REALLY AWKWARD !

Yes, we've been running this one for the past 5 days and its been perfect ever since. We had awkward loot before also.

We are going to apply the fix to our server in about 50 mins when the server is due for a restart.
We are going to test it out, and if all goes well, we will also apply it to the git for others.

We need to share all the fixes we find to improve our servers.
 
i have never seen any thread like this one.. so many people working together .

just havin my beer right now and going to test this new file for loot fix.
