[Support] DZMS DayZ Mission System

OK GUYS WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW IF YOU ARE USEING GTXGAMING infiSTAR do not use this mod your ai wont go and you can't fix it
Okay, we got a bit sidetracked on the DZMS support thread for a moment but this is what has been going on for a few posts.

Are you telling me that infistar is deleting all the gear on AI when they die (except the backpack)? .. they must be spawning with it if they are shooting you .. I find that hard to believe. that sounds retarded ... But if true, the answer would be as @Inkko said just put their gear on the ground and create a grave for the dead ai. OR you could move their gear into their backpack on death.
And even though it was asked for, we never did get a log. So I have to say I dont know for sure that is what is happening.
Not sure why transferring AI to client would fix anything. I assume it transfers them upon death or when a player interacts with them, but as far as the game is concerned it doesn't care whether the ai is owned by the server or a player ..

Find That In Your Infistar Settings

And Turn CUF to False

And The Gear Should Be There After Killing The Ai Along With The Gun And Mags They Had Along With The,
 
That setting is only on your GTX hacked infistar, I do not have that. But MY ai gear does not disappear, they die with what they spawn with and you can pick it up off the bodies. So ... I dont know what the issue really is .. I cant imagine any reason why infistar would delete the gear but not the backpacks. And what about the bodies themselves? do they stay on the server?

if only we had complete rpt logs to view .. where someone killed an AI and we could see what was going on. And if you have that infistar setting, maybe we need to see the local arma2oa.rpt too
 
On step 5, it says "If you have DZAI or WickedAI Installed, the DZMS line should go under theirs."
Do we need DZAI or WickedAI to have this work properly ?
 
it wont affect the dzms except that if you have one installed, dzms will detect that and use the AI spawning features so you have some uniformity in all your ai gear, skins and actions.
... i think ... havent investigated but if you have dzai or wai then dzms makes a log message saying it was detected...
is it better? no, ai are ai are ai. unless you use sargeai because he added in the UPS which did improve ai activity.

everyone stopped using sarges because ups has a problem with the new arma version. it seems to work fine, but the rpt log is flooded witb an error. it has something to do with the 'names' of the ai units. should probably see if anyone at armaholic posted a fix because the ups kicks ass.
anyway, if you dont mind errors in the log .. use it

Hello is it possible to get WAI or another mission systems running on top of each other or even have DZMS spawn more then 2 missions at once

WAI is setup to run 3 missions at once but the 3rd is "special" missions and its all commented out. You can easily uncomment it all and add all the missions to that so the 3rds a random between the hero and bandit missions. As for DZMS you'd have to do a little more work.
 
refer to wasteland. dzms is a port of wasteland mission system and wasteland runs a major and minor mission at the same time. it just has 2 mission timers running.
 
Yeah just my server is complaining that the missions dont have much good looot and there isnt enough missions at once at one time
 
yes. i was saying refer to how wasteland does it. major and minor missions at same time.
i think the loot and constant missions is whats making dayz become less popular. too easy to get gear. dayz drove arma to the #1 spot on steam with running zombies, 80 broken vehicles, no traders, and rare loot. if it was bad, people wouldnt haved raved about how good it was. now everyone says its,boring ... am i the only one who sees a connection?
