this simple .bat script (by Todd Vargo) works great for me

  )

It's a little bit more complicated, requires removing ban time and comment columns before converting :)

Please share more bans if ya got em. Maybe if some of you have large ban files, you can throw it up on Pastebin?

yes you're absolutely right, as a matter of fact I got tired of manually looking for them. I suppose, other than being a perfectionist, it doesn't really matter. That guy a while back suggested using excel to clean up the ban reasons. I imagine theres a way to use it to search for duplicates... I dont have MS office though so I can't help with that. If someone cleans this list up, that'd be awesome.

unfortunately, once your server converts over to this steam update, I believe banning by GUID will be useless. Also their UID will change. So this thread is obsolete.

I can't believe in that, it would be like amnesty for cheaters which aren't globally banned.

I guess it doesn't matter now, but originally it wasn't going to support GUID bans any longer because the GUID was based on the CD-Key and the steam update transitioned everyone to steam ID
